Creating the perfect wedding can be very challenging, but the end result quite rewarding. To strategize and analyze options for the best way to save money on a wedding is not simple, but there are ways you can make it happen.
1) Accommodating Your Wedding Guests
If you are having a big wedding, you should always look for options in how you can be able to host them without having to pay so much for it. The following ways are how you can manage to accomplish this mission. They are:-
· Try and Get a Discount
If you are having quite a few guests, there are hotels that will be open in negotiating a discount with you for them to stay there as long as the wedding celebrations are going on. If you have a veteran pass or possess AAA, or any kind of program you may happen to be in, they can lower your prices and help you save money on a wedding.
· Go Rural And Save
As we all know, in the urban areas, prices don’t come cheap. If you are looking tosave money on a wedding, you can consider having your wedding in a small town; preferably if it is a town you probably grew up in or are familiar with. People in smaller towns are more welcoming for any revenue or activity in their area and prices will not be as high as they would be in the city.
· Camping Out For the Night
Now, that is not the typical way to do things, but think about it; its summer and people are drinking and making merry for your big day. It would not be such a bad idea to save and have some of the younger people camp out for the night. After all, there is not going to be much sleeping going on anyway since everybody is having a good time in the party.
Have some of the older folk go to the lodging while you guys sleep under the stars. It will be memorable and at the same time unique. There are those who may mind, but majority of people are always up for something different to do.
2) Maintaining a Local Friendly Atmosphere for Your Wedding
Having a good local connection can benefit your wedding more than you know. Having good relationships with local businesses and their owners will help you out in terms ofsaving money on a wedding. Participation from friends and family is great and it will help with people chipping in to get things done without having to pay them. In turn, you can also help them out in whatever they want done so it can be a fair exchange of services.
There are some ideas that you can incorporate in your wedding plans that will help you save big time. They are:-
· The “Photograph” Man or Woman!
You may have close friends who are in the photographing business and they can give you a discount if you hire them to snap those wonderful shots in your wedding. You would be able to save money on a wedding and still be having a good time knowing your snaps are securely guaranteed to come out looking great and professional.
· Serving Drinks (Bartending)
Like I said, maintaining a good atmosphere for your whole wedding procession is fantastic. If you have a relative you can rely on to serve drinks in a responsible manner, then consider hiring them for the job. You can even make some sort of arrangement that won’t necessarily require a payment, rather a favor to be performed for them at a later time. That is how you save money on wedding.
· Transporting the Wedding Guests
If you can’t afford a limo or party bus, then recruit some of your friends in helping transport people to and fro the ceremony. Make an offer to compensate them. You can offer a free room for one night or they don’t have to bring you a wedding gift for doing you that favor.
More often than not, friends won’t even ask for compensation during your special day. That is how you save money on a wedding.
· Decorations for the Venue
Decorations can cost an arm and a leg and it feels as though it is so expensive to use them for one day and then later discard them. You can improvise and look for creative ways you can make your venue look elegant and beautiful. Try and save money on a wedding.
Recruit some of your cousins, nephews and nieces for making decorations, of course in a specified given instructions theme and borrow flowered plants to place around the venue for a wedding atmosphere. You can even make some yourself.
